The great sculpting of Lorenzo Quinn

Nature «revenges» and inspires the artist.

The Italian sculptor Lorenzo Quinn, son of the famous actor Anthony Quinn, inherited the artistic bug from his father and studied at the University of Fine Arts in New York. He devotes himself initially to the surrealist painting till he realizes, finally, that his real passion is sculpture. Inspired and driven by great sculptors such as Michelangelo and Rodin, Quinn quickly unfolds his talent and, to date, he has already gained a reputation for the way he carves human hands in his works.

«Hands», as he characteristically claims, « have the power to love, to hate, to create, and to destroy». In his new work entitled The Force of Nature, Quinn presents a series of dynamic anthropomorphic sculptures representing the Mother Nature to defy gravity and intensively whirl the Earth around it.

The source of his new sculptures was the tremendous tornadoes that hit Thailand, America and other areas of the world causing irreparable damages. Quin’s creations are a tribute to the Nature itself and its incomparable force.
