Lavart from Greece goes to Calexico
“It’s been three years, oh guys you are amazing!”, the singer of the band was repeatedly saying. “It’s been three beers!”, the crowd was answering.
It seems that Greece fits with the seven member band from Arizona, USA, something that is demonstrated by the participation of “Τakim” in their last album “Edge Of The Sun”. In favor of this album, they played on Friday, November 13 at the Fix Factory of Sound in Thessaloniki using the sun as a background. Being a little romantic, a little the classic “american guys” as well as resembling the sensuous Spaniards and a bit the cheerful street Mariachi, but definitely the self luminous seven musicians (Joey Burns, John Convertino, Jacob Valenzuela, Martin Wenk, Ryan Alfred, Jairo Zavala, Sergio Mendoza) abolished the myth of Black Friday, ending the day of all the people who were in Fix with a real party.
