Ο σοφός λαός έλεγε για τον Βασίλη Καρρά πως «Οι μεγάλες αγάπες αρχίζουν με χαρά και τελειώνουν με Καρρά…» ο άρχοντας της καψούρας κατάφερε να στερεωθεί στο λαϊκό στερέωμα χαρίζοντάς μας ροκ ύμνους για τον έρωτα.
Ο Βασίλης Καρράς ανήκει σε όλους, σε αυτούς που τον λατρεύουν φανερά και σε αυτούς που τον ακούν στα κρυφά, προερχόμενος από την χρυσή εποχή της νυχτερινής διασκέδασης κατάφερε να γίνει ένας από τους σημαντικότερους λαϊκούς ερμηνευτές. Η πίστα που τον φιλοξενούσε γινόταν συνήθως λαϊκό προσκύνημα και οι φανατικοί ακόλουθοί του συνθηματικά ξεκινούσαν με το: «Καψούρα, ουίσκι και του Καρρά οι δίσκοι».
Ο Μακεδόνας Βασίλης Καρράς έφυγε από τη ζωή, αλλά ένα κομμάτι της ψυχής του παρέμεινε στα τραγούδια που ερμήνευσε και μέσα από αυτά πιστεύουμε πως δε θα πεθάνει ποτέ. Εξάλλου όπως έλεγε και ο ίδιος:«…Κι άμα θα δεις ότι σου λείπω, βάλ’ το πορτρέτο μου στον τοίχο, μην κλαις για μένα, μην κλαις για μένα…».
